He swallows at 'no one gets used to death' because it's true. its the most goddamn terrifying thing ever and each time is all that much more so because he's just thinking is this the time i'm not going to wake up. The school is meant to be a place of learning. But things for mutants are not so stable. Myself and others, including an older version of Erik that you know, are wanted criminals. And anyone who supports us is targeted as well.

But she's been down the death road before. It's still a sensitive topic for her. ]

She was a person in our world who would die and return to life. A lot. And it was not her mutant ability, but I am beginning to question that.
